Fullers, Poultens, Dodds and Whitmells - London, Warwickshire and Northants
Pam Griffiths
This account , Fullers, Poultens, Dodds and Whitmells deals with four inter-related familes. The Fullers lived in the City of London for nearly a hundred years, before moving out to Camberwell in the mid-19th century. They had links to Clark and Lancaster families in the City, and Poulten, Francis and Steel families in the East End. Marriage with a bride from Northamptonshire created links to Dodd in Northamptonshire, Farmer and Ashbishaw in Warwickshire, Whitmell, Baker, Blackwell, Rushall, Gybben, Slynn and Howett families in Northamptonshire and a Norris family in Warwickshire. The text has been divided into three parts; Fullers Poultons, Dodds and Whitmells - part 1 deals with Katherine Joan Fuller and her early Fuller and Poulten ancestors in London. Fullers, Poultons, Dodds and Whitmells part - 2 follows the later Fullers out of the City and deals with the Dodds and their ancestors in Northamptonshire and Warwick. The final section, Fullers, Poultens, Dodds and Whitmells - part 3 traces further lines related to this family in Northamptonshire. An ancestor tree showing these links can be found at Ancestors of Henry William Fuller.
Since writing the original account, I have discovered more about Richard Fuller's parents. The update can be found at Fuller Appendix. In 2023 I rewrote the section in part 3 on the Slynn family following the discovery that I had attributed the wrong brother as father of the Martha Slynn who married her cousin Joseph.
