Harris Familes of Hasketon, Grundisburgh and Culpho and their kin
Pam Griffiths
In the 19th century, three inter-related branches of the Harris family farmed in the villages around Woodbridge, in Suffolk. Although they often married into other farming families, research has also shown them to have connections to laywers, clockmakers and mariners, as well as having a foot in both Anglican and non-conformist churches. Harris Families of Hasketon, Grundisburgh and Culpho tells the stories of these families. As well as the three Harris lines, there are Potters, Fordams and Lawrences in Coggeshall in Essex, Hunts in Culpho and Framsden, Lings in Framsden and the surrounding area and Trotts and Pierces in Woodbridge and Sutton. A pdf version of The Ancestors of Alice Mary Harris is also available.
